Chargers Strike Early With Omarion Hampton First Career TD

Running back Omarion Hampton returned from his early October injury and immediately made an impact.

That proved to be the only touchdown of the entire first half as both teams repeatedly stalled due to giveaways and failed execution.

Jalen Hurts Struggles With Three Costly First Half Turnovers

A Chaotic Sequence Defines Hurts Night

Quarterback Jalen Hurts endured one of his toughest halves of the season.
On one bizarre play, he:

1. Threw an interception

2. Recovered a fumble

3. Fumbled again, giving the ball back to the Chargers

The Chargers used that takeaway to add a field goal.

Another Interception Adds to Philadelphia Problems

Hurts next throw didn’t go any better.
On second and 10 from the Eagles 28 yard line he targeted DeVonta Smith but cornerback Donte Jackson jumped the route for another interception.

Hurts closed the half 10 of 19 for 95 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble.

Chargers Also Suffer Turnovers as Herbert Battles Pressure

The Eagles didn’t leave the mistakes to Philadelphia alone.

Strip Sack on Herbert Creates Another Swing

Quarterback Justin Herbert playing with a large glove on his left hand due to last week fracture was strip sacked by Nakobe Dean with Byron Young recovering.

Late Interception Keeps Eagles Within Striking Distance

During the two minute drill Herbert had his arm struck while throwing resulting in a floating pass that Adoree Jackson intercepted.

Herbert entered halftime going 6 of 12 for 95 yards with one touchdown one interception and one lost fumble.

Missed Opportunities Cost Philadelphia Points Late

Philadelphia reached the Chargers 2 yard line but a holding penalty on Jordan Mailata wiped away a touchdown that would have given them the lead.

They settled for a 30 yard field goal cutting the deficit to 10-6 with under a minute remaining.

Before the half ended kicker Jake Elliott missed a 48 yard field goal keeping the Chargers in front.
