Sialkot Stallions: A Name That Represents Legacy

Hamza Majeed, the owner of the Sialkot franchise, emphasized that the name Stallions is not just a brand but a symbol of Sialkot identity. “We are entering the PSL arena under the historic and popular name of Sialkot Stallions,” he said, highlighting the pride and legacy associated with the team.

Co owner Kamal Khan also confirmed the team identity, announcing the official name and logo. The franchise will compete under the Sialkot Stallions banner, cementing its place in the elite cricket league of Pakistan.

Franchise Acquisition and Launch Details

The new franchise was acquired by OZ Developers during the auction held on January 8, 2026, for a staggering PKR 1.85 billion. Since then, speculation regarding the team’s name had been widespread, with fans anticipating a name that would resonate with Sialkot’s cricketing history.

Kamal Khan, on social media platform X, confirmed the news, stating, “You guessed it, you waited for it, and now I’m proud to officially introduce the Sialkot Stallions.”

Expressing enthusiasm for joining Pakistan premier cricket league, the franchise owner stated, “We are thrilled to see the Sialkot Stallions in action in PSL 11. It’s an honor to be part of the Pakistan Super League journey.”

PSL 11 is officially set to begin on March 26, 2026. For the first time, the league will feature eight teams, with Faisalabad joining as an additional venue to host matches. This expansion promises more thrilling encounters and wider fan engagement across the country.
