“Our players have gained valuable experience over the last few World Cups and have recently played against all teams in our group. We also have good familiarity with conditions in Sri Lanka and India, which gives us confidence,” Cook said.

The Netherlands secured qualification for the tournament through the Europe Qualifiers, finishing alongside Italy. This marks their seventh appearance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Their first entry came in 2009, when they famously defeated host nation England in the tournament opener a result that remains one of their most iconic moments in international cricket.
