England Fall Short Despite Early Resistance

England resumed play on the fourth day at 134/6 requiring 43 more runs to avoid an innings defeat. Captain Ben Stokes and Will Jacks added a crucial partnership guiding England to a slim 16 run lead by the tea interval after scoring 59 runs together.

However the momentum shifted immediately after the break. Stokes was dismissed for 50 followed by Jacks who contributed 41. Their departure triggered a swift collapse with the entire England side bowled out for 241.
