India delivered a dominant performance against Pakistan in the Under 19 World Cup, registering a comprehensive 58 run win and sealing their place in the tournament semifinals. Pakistan chase fell short as their batting lineup failed to keep pace with the demanding target.

Pakistan Fall Short in the Run Chase

While chasing a target of 253 runs, Pakistan Under 19 cricket team was bowled out for 194 runs in 46.2 overs. Despite a fighting effort from Usman Khan, who top-scored with 66 runs, Pakistan could not maintain momentum throughout the innings.

Hamza Zahoor contributed 42 runs, while captain Farhan Yousaf added 38. Huzefa Ahsan scored 14 runs, but no other Pakistani batter managed to reach double figures, highlighting the team batting struggles.

The required run rate continued to rise, and Pakistan ultimately failed to reach the target within the 33.3 overs needed to qualify for the semifinals.

India Solid Batting Sets the Foundation

Earlier in the match at Bulawayo, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf won the toss and chose to field first. India Under 19 team posted a competitive total of 252 runs, getting bowled out in the final over.

Vedant Trivedi was India standout performer with a well crafted 68 run innings. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 30, while Arun George added 16 runs. Indian captain Ayush Mahatre was dismissed without scoring.

Pakistan bowlers made a respectable effort despite the challenging total.

Semifinal Qualification Update

With this victory, India have officially qualified for the Under 19 World Cup semifinals.
Australia, England, and Afghanistan had already secured their semifinal spots earlier, completing the final four teams of the tournament.
