The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed an encouraging and record breaking response to its tender for the sale of two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises.

According to PCB officials, a total of 12 investor groups submitted their bids before the deadline, showing strong confidence in the league commercial growth and international appeal.

The bidders come from five different continents, representing countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Pakistan.

• The results of the initial bidding round will be revealed on December 27.
• Only technically qualified bidders will move to the next stage.
