England batting woes continued in the third Test of the Ashes series as they reached 213 runs for the loss of eight wickets by the end of Day 2. The match being played in Adelaide, once again tilted in Australia’s favor as England struggled to respond to the hosts strong first innings total.
Australia had earlier posted 371 runs putting England under immediate pressure. Despite moments of resistance the visitors found it difficult to build long partnerships.
Stokes and Archer Show Resistance
At stumps on the second day, captain Ben Stokes remained unbeaten on 45, while Jofra Archer supported him with 30 not out. The duo attempted to stabilize the innings, but England still trailed significantly.
