Australia has officially announced its squad for the second Test of the 2025 Ashes series. The team selection mirrors the lineup that defeated England in the Perth Test with no changes made for the day night match at the Gabba.
Injuries and Player Updates
Australian captain Pat Cummins has not been included in the squad as he is still recovering from injury. Fast bowler Josh Hazelwood is also unavailable due to ongoing fitness concerns.
Meanwhile experienced opener Usman Khawaja has returned to the squad after missing batting in the second innings of the first Test because of a back injury.
Pat Cummins has been given an additional two weeks to regain full fitness positioning him well for a potential return in the third Test starting in Adelaide on December 17.
