The game was played at the Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar, where Lahore Whites produced a strong all round performance to successfully chase a competitive target and register an early victory in the event.

Batting first after winning the toss, Peshawar Region posted a total of 167 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The home side managed to build a respectable total through steady contributions from their middle order. However, Lahore bowlers kept things under control by taking regular wickets, preventing Peshawar from accelerating significantly in the final overs.

With 167 runs on the board, Peshawar set a target of 168 runs for Lahore Whites to chase in the opening match of the tournament.
